My name is Ashley Slaney. I am currently a master’s student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. Before that, I spent four wonderful years studying Romance languages, international development and most things gender at UC San Diego and spent an additional year in the editorial department of the Competitor Group, which publishes Triathlete, Inside Triathlon and Competitor magazines. And before that, I spent my childhood dancing and eating wonderful food in my hometown of Eugene, Ore.
